What Blogging Has Taught Me

Blogging is like a game. You either roll with the punches, or you give up and get off line. Lately I have seen some blogs (read some blogs!) where I have thought “What The Hell Are They Writing That S**t For?) and I have stopped reading some blogs – plus I have found more blogs.

What Blogging Has Taught Me!

Blogging Is Like A Best Friend – You Have to Love It No Matter What

Blogging is not for the faint hearted. If you put in the hard yards, and you take the time to know what you want from your blog then you will succeed and stay online. But if you think that you can put up your blog one day, and be making money the very next day, then you are in for a huge shock!

You Have Got To Have Balls

There is no two ways about it – you must have balls to stay online! Something that I am working on every day – not having balls – but being tough enough to keep on going. It’s a mindset thing – you will soon work out that your head starts to play games with you! Funny how they say school exams are hard – I reckon that is a piece of cake compared to the Blogging World.

Why Are Some Blogs Accepted?

I was never into the “In Crowd” at school - I went to an all girls hi-school so I didnt get what all the fuss was about…why were some girls popular and others not so popular. I never fit into any crowd. Online I am the same.

I don’t understand Twitter.

I don’t get how to connect with others, and follow each others conversations back and forward.

Learning about blogging

Blogging Has Taught Me So Much ~

About who I am and what I want from life!

I don’t get why some blogs are so popular and other blogs are good but have no followers? What is with that?

Is it the more outspoken, the more different colourful language that gets the readers following you big time…is that what it takes to make it into the big online world?

Then gee I sux at this Blogging Game.

I hate to cause any trouble – sometimes it finds me no matter what! And I hate to be very outspoken. I will get behind a cause – especially if its a worthy cause – but I normally like to blog, and hope some readers find me, and leave comments. But being the shy girl that I am (gosh I was so shy in high school!) I don’t like to be “Out There” all of the time.

Stupid.

Crazy.

Because I blog and that what bloggers do – find other bloggers.

What Blogging Has Taught Me:-

Blogging has taught me more about my style of writing, who I am, who I am not, what I want to do online, who I want to connect with and why I take the time out of my day to get on here! Finding time to blog is not always easy – but I make the time.

Finding my Blogging Voice is not easy – its something that I am working on every time I blog.

Finding my blogging style is getting better. I love to write – but I want to make sure that my style reflects who I am.

I do not want to be one of those bloggers who is negative all of the time, but then again I don’t want to be one of those bloggers who are super over the type too positive. Because lets face it – life sometimes is not a bed of roses. Sometimes we have good days, and sometimes we have s**t days. That is life.

If there is one thing that Blogging has taught me – that is I need to learn more about what makes a successful blog. Because baby this blog is not going anywhere – and I do want to be making more from this blog! More than I am making now :)

Have You Connected With Our Other Blog?

We have another blog – which is taking off faster than I thought possible! Its a family blog – where I share from the heart our journey to a New Life on the Road - one where we pack up everything and decide to hit the road. Well we are living in our Motorhome – just not on the road as yet!

I am finding my way online with our main blog. We are getting good responses with email companies and asking for sponsors/passes to tourist attractions. But its a slow journey. Many companies don’t understand the benefit that they will get with us providing a review in exchange for products/passes/attractions! Be good when they do get it….they will have an increase in business and we get to follow our passion of travelling with our family.

Blogging Has Taught me so much – every day I am learning more and more about myself. I look forward to learning more and more as time goes on!

What Do You Like About Blogging?

Same Sentence Different Meaning

There are many meanings to the words that are written on paper, online, in texts, in emails and even in conversation. English language is a funny language to try to learn. Did you know that the French Language is the easiest language to study?

Same Sentence Different Meaning

The Internet is a funny world….it can either be very supportive or very harsh. I have seen both sides since I started blogging and I have to say that I prefer the Supportive Side in the blogging world.

I have also been on both sides – again I prefer the supportive side!

Did you know that words do not show your body language nor can you say what you really mean…as something that you write can be totally mis-understood in such a big way!

Different meanings from the same words

Sometimes even signs can mean different things…

or it could mean exactly what it says!

For example the following sentences

“Women Without Her Man Is Nothing”

Now that doesn’t look good does it :)

Lets try this one….

“Women. Without her, Man is nothing”

Now doesn’t that look much better (well to us women it does!)

But its still the same words…just in a different way of writing it.

From now on when I am writing from the heart over at New Life on the Road I am so going to be very careful with how my words are written….because I want my blog site to be on the supportive side of blogging and not on the very harsh side of blogging.

Have you thought about how you speak or write?

Because really the Same Sentence Different Meaning is so very easy to do!

When Will Companies Get What Bloggers Can Do

I am sitting here in Melbourne airport waiting for my Brothers to arrive so that I can get a lift with them to where we all are staying. I am sitting here and I am wondering when will be big brand companies, little business and the companies that need to get their name out there – when will you realise what bloggers can do for the business?

When Will Companies Get What Bloggers Can Do?

If you were a company think about how much money you spend on advertising – do you pay month after month for fees on advertising – so that someone can find you? What about if a blogger contacted you and asked to help promote your business through a community of like minded people so that others can find you? What would you pay then?

Here’s the thing – I don’t want your money to promote you. I won’t cost you a dime (dollars, buck, notes, moolah or what ever you call it!!) All I want is to help you. In exchange I will use your services so that I can form an opinion, share that opinion and then ask my online friends to also share that information.

FREE ADVERTISING for your company.

When Will Companies Get What Bloggers Can DoSomething that will stay online for ever more. So that I if I do my keyword research the right way other people who are seeking your services will find you – today, tomorrow, next week, next year….does it get much better then that? I don’t think so. Actually I know that it couldn’t get much better then that!

Since I have been trying to find sponsors to our site “New Life on the Road” I have had some different experiences happen. From people who love to help us out, to businesses (big brand companies) who don’t get what a blogger can do or offer for a service, to even reply’s where they would love to help us out but the timing was off. Then there were other companies who were that rude to me that I would never ever want to deal with them :)

I guess it comes down to what they want for their business.  Do they want to succeed and stay in business or do they want to “Blame The Failure for the business” onto the economy – when in fact it there poor business choices that lead to their business going under.

If you are Brand Company then you better make sure that your company is displayed in a manner that is professional. Since I have been dealing with emails, phone calls, texting, facebook messages and twitter messages for the last three – to – four weeks – I have learnt a lot. I have learnt that most brand companies don’t get us bloggers.

Here Are 7 Essential Services That Us Bloggers Can Offer Your Business

1.  A community of like minded people who are reading each other blogs, sharing each other blogs and helping each other out.

2.  A Social Media Connection like nothing you have ever seen. We are on Facebook, Twitter and Youtube. You better realise that we are voicing our thoughts, and others are sharing their thoughts. What better way to have your business promoted…through social media!

3.  We share our photos, videos and our moments that we treasure. If we have a good experience with a company then we will want to share it with others so that they can share the same experience.

4. You as a business person will not have to pay for us to advertise your products – all we need is to experience your servcies!

5.  We will tag your business and ask others to “Like” Your Facebook Page, “Follow” you on twitter and be your friend on Youtube!

6.  Our blog posts stay online for years and years to come. If I write something today, someone could easily be reading it three years later – that is one form of advertising that you never have to pay for ever :)

7.  We are realiable amongst our followers. We share so much of our own thoughts, our own lives that if someone wanted to buy a product, and we did a review on which product (brand) is the best then you will have a sure purchase from our readers!

There is so much that bloggers can do for big brand companies.

Blogging Is Like A Personal Online Diary

Blogging is almost like an online diary and it really saves my sanity! It’s true. Blogging is my lifeline – its like my escape…trying to help stay sane.

Blogging Is Like A Personal Online Diary

I can write from the heart.

I can connect with other bloggers.

While I blog I am happy!  I love learning about Internet Marketing working out how to find other bloggers, writing about a topic that people are searching for.

Its also a good way for me to work from home – while we are homeschooling our boys on the road. Some days I get really bored without having someone to talk with. This is my own way of staying sane, staying connected with other Mothers, Travellers, Bloggers or even Dads!

Internet Marketing free book

I am also happy to explore a different way of living and learning how to juggle a family life with a working life. Its really weird but I have never thought of blogging as a business, until recently that is!

Writing online

Would you like to have a coffee and chat online with me!

Staying Sane is important as a Mum (Parent!). Blogging is like my online therapy. I can express my feelings, share my life and know that I can read other blogs that also share their life experiences.

Its a great way to live – Travel, Blog, Homeschooling, Internet Marketing, Going to the beaches, Meeting other travellers, meeting new places, exploring, adventures, laughing, loving, time and so much more!

I have heard of some people whose whole life have changed because they are able to blog online and connect with other people. Where their life has changed that much that they lose weight that they have not been able to shift, make more money then they can spend in one lifetime, meet new friends, connect with lost family members, find their true love, work out how to run an online business, explore the possibilities of living a life that is so different from what they used to live! That is what is possible with blogging.

Do You Have A Personal Online Diary?

If so share it here so other bloggers can find you!

I Am So Very Sorry And So Very Grateful

I need to explain what happened in the last month. Gosh where does the time go to? The last few years have seem to fly by! Far too quickly….its crazy but I am sure that time goes by quicker when you are older – or is it just me?

I Am So Very Sorry

For not being here at Learn How To Blog Site. My site was gone for a month over the Christmas period. For some reason I forgot all about the payment that was due for our site, and then I couldn’t find the payment details, and then when I did the email address that I had to contact the wonderful company was not working! It was a setting fault within their updates – once the GoMedia team returned to work they had it all sorted.

I am so very sorry and so very grateful

Believe in Blogging!

So Very Grateful

I am so very grateful for GoMedia hosting. They have given me back my site, and it has made me more motivatedto succeed online – more then I have ever felt in some time! It has also given me the determination to succeed. I love blogging, and I love connecting with other bloggers online. I want this to be my full time work – I don’t want to have to return to Nursing for an income!

This is like a new lease on life – coming back to Learn How To Blog Site is like a dream come true for our family!

Back to blogging

So very happy that I am back!

Love this photo of the horses :)

Sometimes in life things happen, and it makes us realise how important it is to live in the moment. To be grateful for what we have, and to be grateful for all that is coming into our life! Life is like a journey – many things come our way for a reason, and many things happen for a reason. Be it teach us something new, or teach us what is really important to our life!

How Amazing That I have This Site Back?

Its amazing that I woke up this morning and found that GoMedia had sent me an email to say that my site was now able to be used again! I am so very grateful for that.

Being Grateful leads to many good things in life. Lately I have won so much….not sure what is going on, but we have won so much in the last couple of months! From a trip to Melbourne, a Donna Hayes DVD, organic Soap pack, a new book in a MP3 format, a CoolMat, a game console, and even have been asked to write a book review!

Like I said – I am not sure what is going on but I am so very grateful :)

Life Lessons Lately

There has been so many life lessons in my life lately. From learning to let go of the smaller stuff that doesn’t matter, to watching my boys grow and letting go so they can become great men, to learning to watch what I write (so that it comes out the right way!) to even saying Thank you to my sons for helping us out!  I am even learning to be grateful for the new way of lifestyle that we are living!

What Are You Sorry for and What Are You Grateful For?

Cheers

When Do We Stop Believing In Santa Claus

Bit of a weird question at Learn How To Blog Site but it is a question that I have been thinking about lately….When Do We Stop Believing In Santa Claus….when do we stop dreaming?

Do You Believe In The Unbelievable?

Its not a matter of questioning what is real and what is not real. Its a matter of Dreaming and believing it will come true. Last night I was listening to my boys talk about what they believe in and what they think is fake. It was a real eye opener as our youngest is only 6 years old and already he has started to unbelieve.
